The New Year is Here!

If your New Year’s Resolution was to get a divorce, do it peacefully; Collaborate!

new-year-new-you-2Divorce filings are historically low for the month of December due to parties not wanting to disrupt this time of year for their children. You felt the same way; you kept the peace through the holidays but now it is time to set your goals for the New Year, which includes a divorce.

Just like the peace you experienced through the holidays for you, your children, and your spouse, you now have a choice on how to proceed with the divorce process; fight like a champion (going to court and litigating) or keeping the process as stress-free as possible by collaborating with your spouse and a team of experts to help you both achieve what is best for all involved.

It is your decision; do your research. Research collaborative practice (CP). Your marriage may be ending but that doesn’t mean you can’t maintain a healthy relationship with your soon to be ex or mutual friends. If you want to keep peace going into this New Year, start by visiting my website and choose to have peace in the New Year!
